December thunder

December is the month least likely to experience thunderstorms but there's sure one going on right now!

Jeff, you didn't have to run off the Weather Reports. (Anybody remember the band Weather Report?)

That was quite the thunderstorm, saw, you're right. I couldn't believe it. None of the forecasts I'd seen mentioned anything like that. I'm curious about how much rain we got, but our weather observers have brought the gauges inside for the winter. It was raining buckets.

Maybe you didn't mind the weather blogs, but too many people did. That's just kind of the way Speak Out goes, though. Can't please everyone. You can still get complete weather on the site.

I read about 9/10th of an inch for rain yesterday.

Thanks, bc, I was guessing around there somewhere based on the dog's food bowl, my unofficial rain gauge.

Heck, dudes, we can have our own weather blog. It's nasty today -- Christmas Eve -- with freezing rain, sleet and snow to come. But what's really going crazy is the wind, as predicted. I'm thinking blizzard.

We had 1 and 2/10's inch in ours. I forgot to empty it, now its frozen. I bet I have to buy a new one!

It's official. Blizzard warnings! 4 wheel drive will come in handy tomorrow.
