crosswalk light
Who do we talk to about getting a light put in at the crosswalk at 8th and 56 (the one that goes to the grocery store)? No one (and I mean no one) stops and lets pedestrians cross, which is, as I understand it, illegal. Dangerous as well. I know the crosswalk was painted and signs put up but it was a complete waste of money, people just speed on through. I see kids trying to cross there all the time and no one stops for them either.

Job's Daughters Turkey Dinner
I'd like to thank Job's Daughters and the Mason lodge for a fine Thanksgiving Dinner this evening. The food was great and the money went to a good organization. The was the first year we went and we'll be going back next year. Now back to the regularly scheduled Baldwin Speak Out weather reports.

No more beer at Wheatfield Pizza?
We went to get pizza at Wheatfield Pizza today and they no longer sell alcohol! I guess this happened a while back but we haven't dined in for some time, we usually just get it to go. Anyone know why? The guy working didn't know.

Intermodal?
So, I guess the BNSF Intermodal is going to be with Edgerton instead Gardner? From what limited understanding I have of this situation, the intermodal will be in the same location, but Edgerton will now reap the financial benefits instead of Gardner. I wonder what this all means to those of us here in Baldwin?

high speed internet alternative to mediacrap?
Hello! Are there any alternatives to Mediacom for broadband? I'm sick of their price gouging. We don't have or want a landline and don't want cable tv anymore, all we need is broadband. My research so far has come up with zilch but there's always hope.
