The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Cedar County in southwestern Missouri...
Vernon County in west central Missouri...
* Until 930 AM CDT
* At 530 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to minor flooding.
This advisory includes the Nevada and El Dorado Springs areas.
This advisory includes but is not limited to the following low water
Route M at Bear Creek east of Stockton...
Highway 54, 3 miles east of Deerfield...
Route KK at Dry Wood Creek 5 miles northwest of Moundville...
Route V at The Osage River just north of Stotesbury...
and Route K at Cedar Creek southwest of Caplinger Mills.
Additional rainfall of one to possibly two inches is expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding in
localized areas.
