...PATCHY DENSE FOG EARLY THIS MORNING...
LIGHT WINDS AND LINGERING MOISTURE FROM RECENT RAINFALL HAS LEAD
TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PATCHY DENSE FOG EARLY THIS MORNING OVER
MUCH OF EASTERN IOWA...NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS.
VISIBILITIES WERE LOCALLY AS LOW AS ONE QUARTER MILE.
THE FOG IS EXPECTED TO LINGER THROUGH SUNRISE...THEN DISSIPATE BY
8 AM.
MOTORISTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS. DRIVE
WITH EXTRA CAUTION AND ALLOW ADDITIONAL TRAVEL TIME. USE LOW
BEAMS...REDUCE SPEED...AND ALLOW FOR PLENTY OF ROOM BETWEEN YOU
AND OTHER CARS.
