...Winter weather will continue well into the upcoming week...
Cold weather will continue today with a chance of light snow
across much of the Mid-South as a upper level disturbance moves
through the region. Little or no accumulation is expected. Also,
travel will continue to be hazardous from Friday`s storm,
especially on side roads.
An arctic front will move through the Mid-South late Monday
afternoon into Monday night. A band of accumulating snow will
likely develop across the area Monday night into Tuesday morning.
The area of greatest concern for accumulating snow is from east
central Arkansas into northwest Mississippi and southwest
Tennessee where one to two inches is possible. This area includes
Arctic air will settle over the region Tuesday through Thursday
with very cold temperatures. Wind chills will drop below zero at
times from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning.
