MORNING...
.AN APPROACHING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL RESULT IN A NARROW
SWATH OF SNOW ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING. SNOW WILL
BEGIN AS SLEET AND GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW. THE SNOW
WILL BRIEFLY BE MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES RESULTING IN RESTRICTED
VISIBILITIES AND POOR ROAD CONDITIONS. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO
3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 4 INCHES
POSSIBLE BETWEEN THE I-44 CORRIDOR AND THE HIGHWAY 60 CORRIDOR. THE
HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE CENTERED AROUND SPRINGFIELD TO
HOUSTON TO SALEM LINE...WITH AMOUNTS QUICKLY BECOMING LIGHTER
THE FURTHER NORTH AND SOUTH ONE TRAVELS FROM THIS LINE.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...AN AREA OF SLEET CONTINUES TO PUSH ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS. THE SLEET WILL EVENTUALLY
CHANGE TO ALL SNOW THIS MORNING. ROADWAYS WERE ALREADY PARTIALLY
COVERED WHERE THE SLEET HAS ALREADY OCCURRED AND CONDITIONS WILL
CONTINUE TO DETERIORATE DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...THE ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT THROUGH
THE EARLY MORNING FOR AREAS GENERALLY SOUTH OF A JOPLIN TO
BOLIVAR TO ROLLA LINE AND TOWARDS THE MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS BORDER.
* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...ONE TO TWO INCHES WITH LOCALIZED
AMOUNTS UP TO THREE INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE EASTERN OZARKS. THE
HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE CENTERED AROUND A SPRINGFIELD TO
MARSHFIELD TO SALEM LINE...WITH AMOUNTS QUICKLY BECOMING
LIGHTER THE FURTHER NORTH AND SOUTH ONE TRAVELS FROM THIS LINE.
* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...THE VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED DOWN TO LESS THAN A
MILE AT TIMES. LOCALIZED VISIBILITIES OF A HALF MILE OR LESS CAN
BE EXPECTED WITHIN AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW.
* IMPACTS...THE OCCASIONAL MODERATE TO HEAVY INTENSITY OF SNOW
ALONG WITH THE FROZEN GROUND WILL RESULT IN RAPIDLY
DETERIORATING ROAD CONDITIONS THROUGH THE MORNING. VISIBILITIES
WILL ALSO BE RESTRICTED RESULTING IN POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS
DRIVING CONDITIONS.
