...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM CDT WEDNESDAY FOR
CHEROKEE...NEWTON...MCDONALD AND SOUTHERN JASPER COUNTIES...
AT 353 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. RADAR INDICATED THAT ONE
TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OCCURRED
FROM TUESDAY EVENING INTO EARLY THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS THE WARNED AREA THIS
MORNING. THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS EXPECTED ACROSS MCDONALD AND SOUTHERN
NEWTON COUNTIES WHERE AN ADDITIONAL ONE HALF TO TWO INCHES OF
RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING.
CREEKS...STREAMS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY
SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLOODING.
