IN ADVANCE OF AN APPROACHING WARM FRONT. PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD
NORTHWARD FRIDAY MORNING...AND WILL BECOME STEADIER AND MORE
WIDESPREAD IN THE FORM OF FREEZING RAIN. A GLAZING OF ICE IS EXPECTED
BEFORE TEMPERATURES STEADILY RISE ABOVE FREEZING FROM SOUTH TO NORTH
FRIDAY MORNING.

* THIS ADVISORY IS FOR AREAS BETWEEN INTERSTATE 70...AND A PAOLA
TO WARRENSBURG LINE.
* AREAS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE HAVE BEGUN TO DEVELOP ACROSS CENTRAL AND
WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...AND WILL BECOME A STEADIER LIGHT RAIN
AROUND DAY BREAK. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO PLAIN RAIN
OR DRIZZLE BETWEEN 5 AND 7 AM AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE 30S AND
EVENTUALLY 40S.
* A GLAZE OF ICE WITH AMOUNTS LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH IS
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA THROUGH THE MORNING
COMMUTE... WITH CONDITIONS RAPIDLY IMPROVING THEREAFTER.
* IMPACTS...ROADWAYS WILL LIKELY SLICK AND HAZARDOUS OVERNIGHT
ONCE THE PRECIPITATION BEGINS. THE GREATEST IMPACTS WILL BE ON
SECONDARY COUNTY...RURAL ROADS AND SIDEWALKS THAT MAY NOT HAVE
BEEN TREATED FROM PREVIOUS RECENT WINTER EVENTS. SOME MINOR
ICE ACCUMULATION MAY ALSO OCCUR ON TREES AND OTHER ELEVATED
SURFACES.
