...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR HEAVY RAIN REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
MIDNIGHT CDT FOR NORTHWESTERN HOWELL COUNTY...
AT 936 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THAT HEAVY RAINFALL HAD ENDED ACROSS NORTHWESTERN HOWELL COUNTY.
HOWEVER...RADAR ESTIMATES THAT THREE TO THREE AND A HALF INCHES OF
RAIN FELL EARLY THURSDAY EVENING IN A ONE TO TWO HOUR TIME PERIOD
ALONG AND IMMEDIATELY WEST OF HIGHWAY 63 BETWEEN WILLOW SPRINGS AND
WEST PLAINS. THIS HAS LIKELY RESULTED IN MINOR FLOODING OF STREAMS
AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS TO THE WEST OF HIGHWAY 63.
RUNOFF FROM THIS POOR DRAINAGE WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING. LOCATIONS
IN THE ADVISORY INCLUDE...POMONA...SILOAM SPRINGS AND WILLOW SPRINGS.
CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY
SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLOODING.
