AND SOUTHWEST KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON...
.UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHWEST TEXAS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
RED RIVER VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON. STEADY SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS
PARTS OF SOUTHWEST INTO SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. IN ADDITION...VERY
STRONG NORTH WINDS WILL RESULT IN BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WHERE THE
SNOW WILL BE HEAVIER WITH MORE LOCALIZED VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS IN
BLOWING SNOW FARTHER NORTH AND WEST.
...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST
TONIGHT...
* TIMING...SNOW AND SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.
* SNOW AMOUNTS...ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN NOON AND
MIDNIGHT WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 7 INCHES IN THE AREA FROM LIBERAL
THROUGH MEADE TO PRATT. SLIGHTLY LOWER AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY NORTH
OF THIS LINE.
* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTH WINDS INCREASING TO 25 TO 40 MPH WITH
FREQUENT GUSTS TO 55 MPH. WIDESPREAD AND PROLONGED VISIBILITY
BELOW ONE-QUARTER OF A MILE AND FREQUENT WHITEOUT CONDITIONS
ARE ANTICIPATED.
