...HEAVY RAINS WITH FLOODING PROBLEMS TO CONTINUE...
HEAVY RAINS CONTINUE MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 70 AT
THE PRESENT TIME. THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW REPORTS OF FLOODING
AROUND GOODLAND KANSAS AND BURLINGTON COLORADO. THE BAND OF HEAVY
RAIN CURRENTLY OVER THE AREA IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO THE
TONIGHT. ADDITIONAL AREAS OF RAIN ARE DEVELOPING TO THE
SOUTH...MOVING NORTH TOWARDS THE TRI-STATE AREA. THE AXIS OF
HEAVIEST RAIN WILL SLOWLY SHIFT TO THE SOUTHWEST AS A COLD FRONT
EDGES IN FROM THE NORTHEAST. WITH PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES NEAR
RECORD LEVELS FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR ACCORDING TO THE DENVER
SOUNDING AND SATURATED SOILS...SEE NO REASON THAT RAIN...HEAVY AT
TIMES...WILL NOT CONTINUE AND POSSIBLY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL FLOODING
PROBLEMS THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
