Friend says fireworks won't fly on the Fourth

Torch,

I would invite you to come to my home, and see how long you can sleep when you have World War 3 outside. I suspect from your response YOU light fireworks well into the night. I do love to shoot fireworks, but because of this city's so called noise law, I stop at 10PM. What do you do when you are rudely awakened at 1AM because someone wants to shoot off fireworks.

Do you approve of that??

Friend says fireworks won't fly on the Fourth

I am sad that the show is cancelled this year. I hope that our local law enforcement will be on the alert when those very inconsiderate neighbors who insist on exploding fireworks well into the late evening. The last two years, before, during, and after the forth, these "neighbors" insist on making the area sound like a DMZ well past 10PM. Some people need to go to work the next day, and sleep is important. IS THERE ANYTHING OUR TOWN CAN DO TO BE CONSIDERATE TO WORKING PEOPLE???????

I bet nothing will be done. Just like the last two years.

City crews lauded for snow-removal efforts

How about a rule to ask people to move their cars to allow the snow plow drivers to do their job clearing the streets. Where I live there are cars all over the street that made the snow plow driver very nervous going down. So, because these people won't park their vehicles in their garages or driveways, the plow can't get in to clear the streets. Can ANYTHING be done?

Patrons want rural schools to be closed

Jgillispie

Please recheck your numbers.
The PC only has 3 second grade classes.
You state there are four.
Is any of your other information in error?

Patrons want rural schools to be closed

VES and MSES always do well when you are teaching a class of 10? how many are 1st graders? how many are 2nd graders? 3rd graders? and so on. At the primary center, the 1st grade classes have AT LEAST 19 kids in each room. Can you control 3 or 4 1st graders or 19??? Saying the outlying schools do well is correct when you have a VERY SMALL class. I do not know the numbers of kids at VES and MSES, but I do know the population at these schools are very small compared to the primary center. Doing any comparison is unfair to the teachers at the Primary center.

That person will take someones job, just not at Vinland.
When he was going to persue legal action, the district said he has a job in the district, just not at Vinland. He is "rumored" to be coming to The primary center, thus my concern. Please prove me wrong. I would enjoy being wrong in this case.

Baldwin School Board retains VES's McCune

Thanks for the compassion.

Have you ever thought that if this 'person' is retained, someone else is going? No not you. Ah, but you will get your wish. You will get me to be silient. When we have to move due to a loss of job, you will still be here, won't you?

Thanks very much. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND.
