There was a ground-breaking ceremony for the Baldwin School District’s Performing Arts Center Wednesday morning. It will be built between Baldwin High School and Baldwin Junior High School and will consist almost entirely of a safe room capable of withstanding an F5 tornado, thanks to a FEMA grant. Those participating in the groundbreaking included BHS students, school and architectural firm officials and school board members. At right, board member Ande Parks shakes hands with Supt. Paul Dorathy.
