Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 59 Highway just north of the Douglas County line Tuesday around 2 p.m. A passenger in a pickup truck that hit a semi-tractor trailer was taken by helicopter ambulance to an area hospital. No other information was available.
