Torrential rain that fell in and around Baldwin City Tuesday afternoon sent water rushing in normal trouble spots around town, including this storm drain at Seventh and High streets. Richard Wellman reported 2.0 inches of rain fell near Signal Oak and Bill Gillispie reported 1.85 inches at 213 King Street. There was 1.0 inch at Vinland. City crews cleaned out the storm drain at Seventh and High Wednesday morning. It was clogged with sand and leaves. Public Works Director Bill Winegar said it was "left over winter."
