Kara Cunningham and her 2-year-old son, Lane, who has cancer, play with the family horses Thursday on their farm south of Baldwin City. Cunningham is in Washington, D.C., this week with a group containing hundreds of families, doctors and caregivers lobbying for Congress' support of a bill that would provide funding for children's cancer research.
