Thanks for the $481 extra on my tax bill this year, @&*#holes!
Make sure and spend it on useless stuff.

Yes, it was truly fabulous weather and a great festival. Contrast this with two years ago where the weather was horrible and one of the emcees of the festival actually was caught saying the queen mother of all cuss words on an open mic. Just more of that classic Baldwin City we all love!

Wow, Mr. Grundon, you might just take the distinction of being both the most out of touch and the craziest person who could actually cobble together a paragraph. Good luck on your expectations for the upcoming elections. And stay on your lithium. It will make the time go faster.

Right on, Torch. Preach it, brother.
Too much money being spent on too many things that don't make the student any more competitive in the job market.

Well, funny you should say that. There happens to be an election happening in Spring 2009 where a key position, namely mayor, is up for election. The mayor is in charge of the city staff and should have the power to get rid of the dead wood and hire competent, hard-working people who actually believe in using their talents to help the citizens and businesses of Baldwin City.
There are also two City Council positions up for re-election. It is my humble opinion that we need to re-elect Ms. Cleavinger and replace Mr. Jardon with someone who is much more interested in promoting the growth of Baldwin City (or we are in for a long, hard time if Edgerton captures the buildout from the BNSF Intermodal Facility and we're left with nothing).
It doesn't take p_zinzer to make these changes. it takes all of us to vote in April and make it known that we want things to change. Tell Mr. Walbridge now that you want to see him change things or he can guarantee he'll be out of office next year.

I think Jeff can go ahead and plug this story into the automatic news story software for release next August without any changes. There are no performance requirements for a management job with the city, short of showing up for work occasionally.

Does anyone in addition to me see this photo as comically demonstrating Kansas discrimination at its finest? Look at the little kid in the background on the far right of the photograph. It looks like the pack of toeheads won't let him join in the fun.

I don't know anything about his qualifications, but I'll say this. He is a very rude man. I saw him in City Hall one time and asked him a very simple question about a regulation. I got back a hateful look and a fistful of attitude from him. Apparently he does not believe that his position is such that he must interact with the public. I would certainly like to see him replaced.

Hey poser,
I think what you did was extremely immature. Although not everyone agreed with greyghost's opinions on everything, they appreciated the erudite way in which greyghost wrote. It's very irritating to see someone take the greyghost pseudonym and then commence to making horrific grammatical blunders, spelling errors, and meaningless diatribes. Don't care who you are or whether you were first to an unfair race (shame on the Signal for the way they let this happen), you'll never fill GG's shoes.
Regards,
