So, how goes the new site?

It's been several months since the speak out site changed, so I think we're stuck with it.

I miss how lively the sight was. I didn't post very often (only when my lucidity levels were really high and I knew I wouldn't make any typos, gramatical errors or spelling errors). But there were times when I would read the posts and actually laugh out loud. The site had the ability to make me very proud to live in Baldwin and also groan at the perpetual stupidity of others.

There have been many topics go by and we haven't had the community discussion about any of them. It's really sad. Come on Grayghost and all of you former regulars, come back and entertain us with your thoughts and comments. Just because downtown is different doesn't mean everything has to change!

Whats going on???

There was an article in the Baker paper about high utility rates. In it, Kevin from Maple Leaf complained about the high utility rates and stated it was driving him out of business. I know there were times I would go in for service and had a hard time getting the time of day. I think there is plenty of blame to go around why businesses fail in Baldwin.

Poll: Kansans support rejection of coal-fired plants

Even more incredible are the comments from western Kansas residents complaining that wind power is noisy (like the constant howling wind is soothing) and ugly. Smog and pollution in general created by burning coal are some of the ugliest sights on Earth.
