crosswalk light

well, I'm glad to hear that an attempt to make it safer is being made. However, I don't think that it's going to work. I think the only way most people will stop is if they are made to stop. I wonder if a study was done to determine what kind of light was needed?

Job's Daughters Turkey Dinner

I was joking, honest! I don't care if they're on here. I just skip over them, it's not a big deal. I figure some people might like them.

low Halloween turnout

getting back to my original post, what part of town does not have sidewalks or streetlights? We live just south (a couple blocks) of Baker and our whole area has sidewalks and streetlights. Are people not happy anymore unless everything is lit up bright as day during the nighttime? If that's the case, it's pretty sad. We had a lot of kids come by the past several years but the drop between last year and this year was huge to the point that we probably shouldn't have bothered. Have people really gotten that paranoid in the last year?

I guess originally, the deal was made with Gardner, so they would get money for city improvement, etc. So now, the intermodal will still be in the same spot, but Edgerton will get that money to expand/improve their town.

60 mph on Hwy 56/ Pros & Cons

I drive east on 56 to 35 North every morning (and vice versa in the evening). The 60 mph speed has been an invitation for people to speed even farther over the limit. I get passed by cars doing 70 easily on a daily basis.

high speed internet alternative to mediacrap?

Yep, I've noticed the water price! That's why everything in our yard dies out in the summer. Ain't paying to water it. I'd be happier if we could just drop the basic cable and get a lower price. I don't see what the problem is, but they won't do it.
The other thing I wonder about is anyone using or going the use the fiber optics here in town? I don't know when they were put in, (it was before we moved here, 6 years ago) but as far as I can tell, they're not being use.
