it's a sad day when someone steals the mannequin legs out of your front yard.

thanks for the info! I get we better get some flyers made up too, while we're at it.

We weren't going to make lamps out of them, though that thought easily springs to mind. I'm surprised no one has stolen the doll heads we have out in the yard, I figured at some of them would be gone by now.

alternative to Mediacom?

I've been in further contact with Mediacom about the utilization issue in our area and so far, no info. At some point they have to upgrade the equipment to provide the advertised (and charged for) service. In the meantime, they can't provide it. I don't understand how this is even legal. It's not confined to our area alone either, if you look on Mediacom's customer support forum, this is happening across several states.

Is centurylink fast enough to use with Netflix? We have an apple tv we use to stream movies.

Has TerriLois pulled a gun on anyone yet?

BTW, my original comment was posted in jest. It's been quiet lately, I thought I might stir something up.

you know, I didn't really want to vote Brown back in, so I was thinking of maybe, possibly, giving her a chance. But then, she gave "lock and load" as an answer at the debate. That made me decide that I would not give her my vote. It's not that I'm anti gun, it's that I was amazed that that was the best answer she could give. I need more than those kinds of answers from a candidate. But, I might be wrong, she may turn out to do a good job. Then again, I'm not a liberal or conservative, so I tend to judge both sides of the aisle harshly.

I checked into DirectTV. For me, it's not a solution, for several reasons. 1) We don't need TV channels, if we have the internet, so that would be a waste of money. 2) Direct TV farms their internet out to other companies, CenturyLink being the one for Baldwin. Their internet speeds aren't great and I can't just buy the internet without buying some kind of package, unless I want to pay more for buying just internet, which is one of the problems I have with Mediacom. The wait for a better service provider continues!

That's good to know, thanks!

As far as I know, you can only get DirectTV internet if you have a landline, which lets me and a lot of other people out. Most companies who offer dsl, refuse to offer it without a landline, which technically isn't necessary, they just want to sell you something extra. Plus, like a lot of people these days, I don't need TV, cable or sat, if I have the internet. We've been here 6 years now and I thought we might have more internet options by now. I wish I knew what we could do to change that.
