Kevin Anderson
Kevin Anderson is a photographer with the Lawrence Journal-World. He previously was chief photographer for some of the Journal-World's sister papers, the Bonner Springs Chieftain, Basehor Sentinel, Shawnee Dispatch and Lansing Current. Kevin joined the staff as chief photographer in December 2002. Before that, he was with the Kansas City Star for almost 16 years as a staff photographer and photo editor. Kevin attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He grew up in Omaha.

Nancy Giossi plays with McLaren, a 2-year-old golden retriever who will eventually become an assistance dog, at the Kansas University Department of Continuing Education. Giossi has been a “puppy raiser” for nearly a decade for KSDS, and she’ll soon be sending McLaren back to the training center for the final portions of his training.
McLaren, a 2-year-old golden retriever in training to be an assistance dog, shows off some of his talents recently with his temporary owner, Lawrence woman Nancy Giossi, at the Kansas University Department of Continuing Education. McLaren has learned to carry Giossi's purse to and from her desk, as well as bring the office watering can to the various plants in the building.
