None at all. The county road work is done every year at this time. I've been commuting to Lawrence on 1055, 460, and/or 458 for 15 years. If they're resurfacing one road, you just take another. They only do one at a time and it only takes a couple of days anyway. No problem. Now, Hwy 56 I've been avoiding since 1992. Almost every time I lose my mind and go that way, I regret it.

I'm still trying to figure out why they are working on resurfacing all of 56, the road seemed over all to be in really good condition.

I was thinking the same thing BaldwinDad. As I sat for 10 minutes in line waiting yesterday.

I wonder if it's another one of those we have money in the budget we better spend it scenarios. I had a friend that worked for Douglas County public works and he would tell me every year they would go out and do road work on roads that didn't need it simply because they had budget money left over and unless they spent it they would lose it next year.
