Stranded truck stops U.S. 56 traffic
Traffic was stopped on and off Friday morning east of Baldwin City on U.S. Highway 56 so a semi-tractor trailer pulling a crane could ease its way back onto the highway. The driver for Valley Transportation Services, Grand Meadows, Minn., had pulled into Bob Rohe's driveway Thursday around 6 p.m. thinking it was a rest area. Once in, he couldn't get out and had to wait until this morning for a wrecker to help with the process.
