BHS state cross country November 6, 2009
Baldwin High School's cross country teams competed at the Class 4A state cross country meet in Wamego. The girls' team won its third straight championship, while the boys' team finished fourth.
The Baldwin High School girls won their third straight Class 4A cross country title Saturday in Wamego. In the front holding the trophy are seniors Julie Hill, left, and Connor Twombly. Baldwin High School freshmen Sienna Durr, center, and Kaitlyn Barnes lead the main pack of runners near the mile mark Saturday. Durr finished fourth and Barnes placed 11th at their first Class 4A state meet.

Baldwin High School's boys' cross country team begins Saturday's state meet race. The Bulldogs finished fourth as a team. It was the first time since 1996 that BHS didn't bring home a state trophy.
Baldwin High School junior Tony Weiss once again finished in the top four at the Class 4A state championship Saturday. Weiss placed third in the 5-kilometer race. The BHS boys finished fourth as a team.

Baldwin High School junior Joey LaBuda finished 42nd in a time of 18:10.24 at the Class 4A boys' cross country state meet.
Baldwin High School junior Carson Barnes placed 70th with a time of 18:44.02 at the state cross country meet.

Baldwin High School freshman Sienna Durr enjoys a smile with her older sister, Calleigh Durr while clenching the Class 4A state championship trophy Saturday afternoon in Wamego. The older Durr is a 2009 BHS graduate who helped the Bulldogs win three state titles. The Bulldogs have now won three in a row.
