Six Baldwin High School wrestlers competed at the Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament in Salina. Senior Kevin Callahan capped off his career with the 130-pound state championship.
It was time to celebrate a state championship Saturday night in Salina. Baldwin High School wrestling coach Kit Harris lifts senior Kevin Callahan into the air after the 130-pound state title match. Callahan won his first-ever state championship Saturday with a 3-2 decision.
For the first time in his career, Baldwin High School senior Kevin Callahan, 130-pounds, has his arm raised after the Class 4A state championship match. He has twice placed second and again fourth at the state tournament.
The Callahan family was among the loudest celebrating Kevin Callahan's state championship at the Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament in Salina. At left is brother Josh Callahan, filming the victory is his mom, Kim, and at right is his dad, Dennis.
Baldwin High School qualified six for the Class 4A state tournament. This banner was hung near the BHS section in the stands.
