The Baldwin City Recreation Commission was presented with the BlueCHIP Award at June's Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce luncheon. BlueCHIP is a community health improvement program created by the Kansas Recreation and Parks Association and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas to recognize and reward Kansas communities who encourage and support healthy lifestyles through programs, initiatives, policies and/or community wide events. BCRC was one of six communities to receive the $2,500 award, which was presented by Marlou Wegener of BlueCross BlueShield.
