Don Flory of rural Baldwin City says his grandfather’s 1907 trip from Indianapolis, Ind., to Denver, Colo., inspired him to be part of an 1,800-mile family motorcycle tour during the Labor Day Weekend of California. In front of Flory is a photograph of his grandfather, his grandfather’s brother and two cousins as they were ready to leave on their trip and a T-shirt from his California tour.
