An employee of R.D. Johnson Construction rolls over the freshly applied base for an asphalt overlay Tuesday on the north Sixth Street project. Asphalt was to the first phase of the project from U.S. Highway 56 to Fire Tree Avenue was to be laid Monday and Tuesday but was delayed until Thursday and Friday when soft spots were found in the street's sub-base.
