The Baldwin American Legion team is headed to state after winning the Zone 1 championship Thursday at the Bullpup Drive ball field complex. Baldwin went 4-0 in the double-elimination tournament, wrapping up the title with a 6-5 come-from-behind victory against Wellsville.
The team will next play at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sabetha.
