Chuck Shoemaker, member of American Legion Post 370 in Overland Park, speaks to the audience at the Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery. The ceremony also included the ringing of the bell for verterans who have died and the playing of taps.
