The Baldwin School Board voted to close Marion Springs and Vinland elementary schools by a 5-2 vote Monday night. The schools will close at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.

After months of discussion and public input, the USD 348 Board of Education voted Monday night to close two rural elementary schools at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. The proposal to close Marion Springs Elementary School and Vinland Elementary School passed by a 5-2 vote.
