“I think about those less fortunate and on the street, the elderly with no air conditioners, animals foraging for food in the heat, lawns and gardens drying up, the effect on one’s wallet. When I think about the heat and its effect on me, I am blessed.”

“Due to the heat spell, kids are staying indoors for longer periods. We had company in town but could not do much outdoors. Also looking at a higher electric bill. Hopefully it will be a short summer!”

“I find myself trying to create indoor adventures to keep my two boys cool and get their energy out. We do things like build indoor forts, play ‘hot lava,’ dance silly to music, etc.”
