Alice Marie Climer 1934 - 2012 Baldwin City

Alice Marie Climer, age 77, of Baldwin City died August 24, 2012, at her home. She was born September 1, 1934, in Baker, Kansas, the daughter of Frank Hill and Eva (Bindle) Hill.
She was raised in the Welda area of southern Anderson County, graduating from Welda High School with the class of 1952.
Alice was a lifelong homemaker. She also was a cook for numerous fraternities and sororities at the University of Kansas for over twenty years retiring in 1996.
On October 22, 1955, Alice was united in marriage with Charles Henry Climer in Kansas City, Kansas. They shared fifty years of marriage together before Charles death on October 23, 2005.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by four sons; Marvin Climer, Baldwin City, Jason Climer, Baldwin City, Steve Climer, Baldwin City, Keith Climer, Lawrence; brother, Ivan Hill, Welda, Kansas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Lamb- Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City, Kansas.
The family received friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
