Eshter Nadine Pifer 1921 - 2011 Baldwin City

Graveside services for Esther Nadine Pifer, 89, Baldwin City, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman.
Mrs. Pifer died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Kingman, the daughter of Clarence Walton and Lilah Faye Shepherd.
Mrs. Pifer was a member of Eastern Star Delta Chapter 172 and worked for Western Union Telegraph Co. for 26 years.
She married to Charles (Ken) Pifer in 1940. They divorced in 1947. She married Ray Andrews from 1949 to 1954. They divorced. She remarried Charles Pifer in 1964. He died in 1985.
A daughter, Kathie Garcia, and a son, Michael Andrews, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two grandsons, Chad (Linda) Andrews, Marana Ariz., and Brad Andrews, Tucson, Ariz.; and a granddaughter, Tricia McAtee (Jim), Lacygne; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Reno County in memory of her daughter, Kathie Garcia, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
