Mary Lou Nold 1935 - 2010 Baldwin City
Funeral services for Mary Lou Nold, 75, Baldwin City, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mrs. Nold died Friday, March 12, 2010, at her home.
She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Humboldt, the daughter of Gabe and Merle (Cline) Cruncleton. She graduated from Humboldt High School.
She was a homemaker before becoming employed as a secretary at Jay Shideler Junior High School and Washburn Rural Middle School. She retired after 20 years of service. She later worked at Alterra Clare Bridge Cottage of Topeka as the activities coordinator of the Alzheimer’s Unit. She moved to Baldwin City where she lived for the past two years.
She married Fritz Nold on Nov. 8, 1952, in Humboldt. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane Pittenger and husband Knute, Baldwin City, Lori Smith and husband Louie, Lawrence, and Lin Irey and husband Leo, Baldwin City; three sons, Dan Nold and wife Trina, Stilwell, and Tim Nold and Kimberly Cummings, Topeka, and Tom Nold and wife Kim, Ozawakie; grandchildren Lyndsey Burkhart, Brett Pittenger, Jake Pittenger, Emi Nold, Joshua Nold, Katie Nold, Louie Smith, Bambi Martinez, Kasey Pittenger, Kaleigh Nold, Hanna Smith, Cody Nold, Cade Nold, Jenna Irey, Elli Nold, Jaden Irey and Jack Nold; and five great-grandchildren.
