Samuel James Tunget 1947 - 2008 Lawrence

A private graveside service will take place for Samuel James “Mayhugh” Tunget, 61, Lawrence.
Mr. Tunget died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at his home.
He was born July 31, 1947, in Eureka, the son of Charles Henry “Hank” and Patricia L. Mayhugh-Wise.
Mr. Tunget was a self-employed horseman and a member of the Kansas Horse Council. He enjoyed hunting.
He married Charla Reetz on March 24, 1967, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Jim, Eudora, and Chad, Lawrence; three brothers, Charles Henry and Roger Mayhugh, both of Lawrence, and Kurt Mayhugh, Smithville, Mo.; a sister, Dana Mayhugh Robertson, Baldwin City; and three grandchildren, Tori, Megan and Jesse.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sharon Mayhugh Coup.
The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Operation Wildlife, sent in care of the mortuary.
