Archie Lewis Leffler 1912 - 2008 Lawrence
Archie Lewis Leffler, 95, Lawrence, died Tuesday at the Baldwin Care Center. He was born June 18, 1912 in Gore, Mo., the son of William Edward and Elizabeth Victoria Schoenauer Leffler.
Mr. Leffler served in World War II with the Seabees and held the rank of Chief Carpenter's Mate.
Mr. Leffler worked as a carpenter and in commercial Dam Renovation.
He married Mildred Bernice Hodge, she survives of the home.
Other survives include a daughter, Patricia Wilcox of Redding, Calif., a son, Michael Leffler of Anderson, Calif., and a step-daughter, Carole Beadnell-Tucker of Lincoln, Neb., and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lone Star Church of the Brethren.
Memorials may be made to the Lawrence Humane Society in care of the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
