LOUISBURG — The Baldwin High School girls methodically pulled away Tuesday from Louisburg in the second half to earn its second Frontier League road victory of the season. Baldwin won handily, 44-28, but the game appeared early to be a repeat of Baldwin’s home victory last month against the Wildcats, in which Baldwin had to come back from a 39-20 halftime deficit to earn a 67-57 victory.

LOUISBURG — The Louisburg Wildcats took advantage of Baldwin center Christian Gaylord’s foul trouble to erase an 11-point first half deficit and overcome the Bulldogs, 57-45, in Tuesday night Frontier League play. Baldwin built a 23-12 second-quarter lead before Gaylord picked up his third foul. With the senior 6-7 center sitting, Louisburg was able to trim Baldwin’s lead to 23-18 at half.

After four years, Baldwin High School senior wrestler Jon Pratt doesn’t know what it’s like to lose in the Frontier League championship meet. Pratt won his fourth individual league title at 152 pounds Saturday at Eudora and helped Bulldog wrestlers maintain their grip on the Frontier League crown by winning the team’s fourth-straight title.
