To the editor: I am a conservative-leaning independent; my wife is a democrat. To the editor: I fully agree with Lee Whaley’s letter in the Jan. 14 issue of the Signal. The people who voted for the new school have placed a big tax burden on the elderly, who are on a fixed income. Also, anyone who has property has seen a big increase in their taxes.
