The Baldwin High School soccer team shook off a four-game losing streak with two shutout Frontier League victories in the last week. The Bulldogs started the turnaround with a 2-0 home victory last Thursday against Louisburg. They then went on the road Monday to down defending Frontier League champions Ottawa, 4-0.
Coached pleased with Baldwin volleyball team’s performance in loss

The results might not indicate it, but Baldwin High School coach Jill Brown said the Bulldogs played their best volleyball of the season in a three-set loss Tuesday at Louisburg, 18-25, 14-25, 10-25. Brown said the team was particularly good in the first set.
Baldwin High School cross country teams step up at Baldwin Invitational

The Baldwin Cross Country teams invited some of the state’s top teams to the school’s annual invitational at the Baldwin City Golf Course, and then proved they belonged in such elite company. The girls team finished second in a field loaded with six 5A and 6A teams and had five runners finish in the top 18. Against the same competition plus St. Thomas Aquinas, the boys finished fourth with five runners in the top 30.
