But law enforcement agencies refuse to release the records, citing an ongoing investigation, even the broad outlines of which they decline to reveal.
Fire destroys rural Baldwin City home

A Baldwin City family is staying at Lawrence hotel after an early morning fire destroyed their home near Baldwin Junction. Willow Springs Township Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Clint Hornberger said the department responded at 12:03 a.m. Monday to a fire at the home of Larry and Diane Michels, 1222 N. 482 Road.

House fire reported near Baldwin Junction

Firefighters from several townships are battling a house fire just west of U.S. 59 Highway, about four miles northwest of Baldwin City. The home is located at 1222 North 482 Road in Willow Springs Township. It is approximately seven miles south of Lawrence.
