Hannon to stay on 1 more year as Baker baseball coach
Baker University Director of Athletics Theresa Yetmar announced today that the university has put the head baseball coach search on hold for one year.
Current head coach Phil Hannon has agreed to take on the coaching role for one more year while also serving as part-time assistant director of development.
“We appreciate the interest in our baseball program expressed by so many potential candidates and anticipate the same level of interest will be shown next year when we reactivate the search,” Yetmar said. “I would like to recognize and thank our search committee for the time and effort they have devoted to this process. I am confident in Phil’s ability to continue to lead our baseball program forward while transitioning to a new role within the University.”
Hannon will lead the Wildcats in his 15th season in 2015. The Wildcats advanced to the HAAC Championship Series for the first time since 1999 this season and earned six All-HAAC award winners
