Baldwin High School spring sports post season starts today

Baldwin High School spring sports post-season play starts today for two Bulldog team with a third set to attempt to extend its season tomorrow.

The Baldwin High School girls softball team will be the first the dip into regional play when the Bulldogs (7-11) take on Ottawa (7-11) at 3 p.m. Monday at Spring Hill for the right to play top-seeded Paola (20-0) at 6 p.m.

In the other bracket, Spring Hill (14-4) will square off against Louisburg (13-5) at 4:45 p.m.

The regional championship game will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Baldwin High baseball (13-5) team is the top-seeded squad in the 4A Division I baseball regional at Ottawa. The Bulldogs will play the winner of the Ottawa (10-10) vs. Louisburg game (5-13) with the contest slated to start at 6:30 p.m. today.

Should the Bulldogs win, they will advance to the championship game to play the winner of the Louisburg (12-7) and Spring Hill contest (9-8) at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Baldwin High School girls soccer team will play Maranatha at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Slump Park at Woodland Drive and 47th St. in Shawnee.
