Lumberyard Art Center to offering spring classes
The Lumberyard Arts Center in downtown Baldwin is offering three classes
Kids Theater Mini Class, Lumberyard Arts Center -This beginning acting class will use voice, body, and imagination to teach the basics of acting - improvisation, character development and working as a team. We will also explore theater games to reinforce these fundamental skills and to have fun. Instructor: Jennifer Glenn Saturday mornings, April 21st - April 28th. Two age groups available: K-2nd grade will meet 9:30a.m. - 10:30a.m. 3rd-5th grade will meet 10:45a.m.- noon. Price: $25 per child for two sessions. Class size K-2: Min 6/Max10. Class size 3rd-5th: Min 6/Max 15. Pre-registration required. Art in the Garden, Lumberyard Arts Center. What perfect timing for a garden mosaic class where you will be combining lightweight concrete, various mosaic techniques and found objects into a great garden sculpture or abstract. Various mosaic techniques will be covered including use of materials, adhesives and grouts. This class is for beginners and advanced alike. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects of their choice, birdbath, large butterfly, or free form. The possibilities are endless with originality in mosaics. Saturday April 28th 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break for lunch. Yoga - Jane Taul. Ages-Teen-Adult - $45/4 weeks. For beginners or those who already know the relief from stress that Yoga can bring. Jane leads the class through a variety of poses that relieve stress, release energy and helps us stay limber and flexible. Mats provided. Where: Lumberyard Arts Center - 718 High. When: Mondays - April 9th-30th. 6:30-8:00p.m.
