Motorcyclist suffers ‘minor injuries’
A motorcycle rider was transported Friday to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after losing control his motorcycle while attempting to avoid hitting another vehicle.
Sgt. Mike Underwood of the Baldwin Police Department said the white male motorcyclist was northbound shortly before noon Friday on Sixth Street when a vehicle pulled out of Baldwin Self Storage, 201 N. Sixth St., to make a northbound turn. Although the driver of the vehicle stopped, the motorcyclist locked up his brakes to avoid a collision, losing control and tumbling from the motorcycle.
Underwood said the motorcyclist had “very minor” injuries but was transported to LMH for treatment. He would release no other information at this time.
