February 3, 2011

The Baldwin City Signal welcomed Chelsea Twietmeyer as the new Journo Intern Jan. 31. As a senior majoring in mass media at Baker University, Twietmeyer will be completing her degree and graduating in May.

Her duties will include reporting, writing and creating multimedia content for the online version of the Baldwin City Signal. In addition to being an intern, Twietmeyer is also the convergence editor for the Baker Orange at Baker University.

Twietmeyer started her interest in media the summer before her freshman year at Baker University. She reported and wrote for The Times Sentinel in her hometown of Cheney. Shortly after beginning her first semester at Baker, Twietmeyer started blogging for the Baker Orange. Throughout the past three years, Twietmeyer has focused on online journalism.

Twietmeyer will combine her Web skills with basic reporting to produce a variety of stories for The Baldwin City Signal for the duration of her internship.
