KidZone returns for homecoming weekend
The Baldwin City community is invited to join Baker University to celebrate homecoming on Oct. 21-22.
Here is the list of events:
Athletic Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Banquet
Friday, Oct. 21 — 6 p.m.
Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center.
Baker University will honor former standouts into the Athletic Hall of Fame. The newest inductees are Greg Mohns, Class of ’72; Bobby Bates, ’82; Carl Danzig, ’87; and Patti Phillips, ’88. All alumni are invited to the event in which current Baker student-athletes will be recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom and in sports. During halftime of the homecoming game on Saturday, the four inductees will be recognized at Liston Stadium. The cost to attend the awards banquet is $40 per person.
Alumni Tailgate Luncheon
Saturday, Oct. 22 — Noon
Tent outside Liston Stadium
Before the kickoff of Saturday’s game, join other Baker alumni, friends, parents and students as the Baker University Alumni Association will sponsor a free tailgate luncheon.
Saturday, Oct. 22 — 1 p.m.
Northeast corner of Liston Stadium
For the third consecutive year, the Alumni Association will entertain young Wildcat fans at the KidZone, free to children 12 and under. The KidZone, featuring moonwalks, obstacle courses and other carnival-type games, will open at 1 p.m. and continue through the game. The KidZone will be supervised by Baker students and staff members.
Baker University vs. Culver-Stockton
Saturday, Oct. 22 — 2 p.m.
Baker University will take on Culver-Stockton in Heart of America Athletic Conference football action.
Hickory Creek Bar & Que
After the game, Baker football coach Mike Grossner will join Wildcat fans in downtown Baldwin
