Senior night fuels BHS volleyball squad

After Tuesday’s performance, Kelly Brown might be wishing her Baldwin High School volleyball team could celebrate senior night before every match. The Bulldogs (7-7) accomplished a pair of goals at home Tuesday night as they beat Louisburg (10-7) in four games. The main one for the players was winning their senior night. It was the final home contest for four BHS seniors.
Late goals add up against BHS soccer team in 4-1 loss

It was déjà vu Tuesday for the Baldwin High School soccer team. For the second time this season, the Bulldogs played Spring Hill, who is ranked No. 4 in the state in Classes 1A-4A. The Bulldogs lost the first contest 5-0 after Spring Hill scored a couple of late goals.
Bulldogs demolish El Dorado 56-0

EL DORADO — A long road trip didn’t slow the Baldwin High School football team down Friday night as it improved its unblemished record. Friday’s trip was more than two hours for the Bulldogs (4-0), but the Bulldogs showed no effects in the game, stomping El Dorado 56-0.
BHS cross country teams run ‘steady’ at Rim Rock

For the first time ever, both Baldwin High School cross country teams finished in the top 11 of the gold division at the prestigious Rim Rock Classic. On Saturday, the Bulldogs traveled north of Lawrence to compete in the largest meet of the season. They entered in the top division, which included up to 31 teams.

Baldwin High to celebrate homecoming Friday
Parade will feature movie sagas; Crowning ceremony at halftime of football game

After a week of pep rallies and spirit days, Baldwin High School students will celebrate their annual homecoming Friday. BHS will once again be having a homecoming parade Friday through downtown Baldwin City, which will take place hours before the crowning ceremony at the football game. The parade will start at 4 p.m. at the District Office, located at the corner of Eighth and Chapel streets.
Parents respond to possible closing of rural schools

Although the issue was dormant for nearly three months, it’s clear the passion of advocates of Baldwin USD 348’s two rural elementary schools haven’t cooled. Parents and students from the outlying elementary schools in the school district continue to make their case for Marion Springs and Vinland elementary schools.
