Exhibit to open at Lumberyard Arts Center
“Opposites Attract,” an exhibit by Christy Carlisle and her husband, Paul Knapp, is going on display at the Lumberyard Arts Center in Baldwin City through Oct. 9.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Carlisle has been an artist most of her life, beginning in paint and decorative arts and expanding to print, clay and metal work.
She and Knapp have been Baldwin City residents for many years. Carlisle is an art instructor at Baldwin High School and Neosho County Community College and is active in the regional art community.
Knapp has been interested in photography throughout his life. He began taking photos more than 20 years and has been a professional landscape photographer for the past five years.
