BJHS eight grade boys remain undefeated
It took an overtime victory over Wheatridge for the Baldwin Junior High School eighth grade varsity boys’ basketball team to remain unbeaten.
BJHS won 49-45 at home Tuesday. Baldwin trailed by three at halftime but came back to win its seventh contest of the season.
“We beat a good team today,” coach Troy Webb said. “We changed up our defense a couple of times to try and get them out of their rhythm on offense. When it came time to make a play, we made a couple more than they did. I am proud of the poise our guys showed in this win.”
Michael Burton led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Chad Berg and Cornell Brown added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
On Monday, the Bulldogs traveled to Louisburg and stomped the Wildcats. BJHS won 53-20. Brown scored 20 points, while Berg chipped in 10.
The Bulldogs will play at 5 p.m. today at Spring Hill.
